Podgaj [?p?dgai?] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Aleksandrow Kujawski, within Aleksandrow County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. It lies 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Aleksandrow Kujawski and 22 km (14 mi) south of Toru?. The village has a population of 192. Gmina Aleksandrow Kujawski is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Aleksandrow County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Aleksandrow Kujawski, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 131.64 square kilometres (50.8 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 10,874. Aleksandrow County (Polish: powiat aleksandrowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998.
