Podlasie [p?d?la?e] (German Luisenhof) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Srokowo, within K?trzyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south of Srokowo, 14 km (9 mi) north-east of K?trzyn, and 80 km (50 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). Gmina Srokowo is a rural gmina (administrative district) in K?trzyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, on the border with Russia. Its seat is the village of Srokowo, which lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) north-east of K?trzyn and 83 km (52 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. The gmina covers an area of 194.63 square kilometres (75.1 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 4,249.
