Upton Sinclair (1878 - 1968) wrote over 90 books in several genres. He was considered to be a leading social advocate. In 1943 he won a Pulitzer Prize for Dragon's Teeth. Our Mr. Wrenn, published in 1914, was the second novel written by Lewis. Mr. Wrenn is a pacifist and a good man who dreams of traveling overseas. Wrenn watches movies to escape his boring job. A small inheritance helps him quit his job and travel for a few weeks. His trip helps him leave his shell even landing him in a fistfight with a bully. When he returns to New York he makes friends and meets Nelly.
